Wearing Suggestions: It’s about the quality of style and materials as we suggested in our post for the matching St John knit blazer. The same wonderful features hold true for a St John knit skirt. Designed with professionalism in mind, St John knits are the epitome of a classic. As close to timeless as you can get, a St John knit suit can last you decades. Designed for both sit & stand comfort, the knits have enough give to provide comfort when seated, but not skin-tight clingy when standing.
Because St John designs primarily for a more conservative work setting, the skirts are typically below the knee. A good seamstress or tailor can hem it to a shorter length if preferred. Most importantly, the knit allows for blocking. A good dry-cleaner can block the size up or down about 2 sizes.
Well known and revered for their classic styling and unstinting quality, St John knits are equally known for their ability to mix and match pieces. As much as we love the St John knit skirt and matching blazer worn together as a suit, there’s no reason you couldn’t wear coordinating pieces from St John, or another designer. A great wardrobe addition for any profession where you attend networking sessions or meet frequently with clients. It’s also a fantastic look if you just want to command the room!
Materials: Mohair blend bouclé knit, fully lined.
Details: St John has constructed the skirt with vertical seaming, which allows for a contoured fit. Overcast stitching detailing on the seams accentuated the vertical lines. We’ve priced the jacket priced separately because of the size difference. The skirt is a size 8, but the blazer is a size 4 and runs a bit more generously in its sizing. Most St John knits can be blocked up or down about 2 sizes owing the the nature of their knits.
Location: In conclusion, go classic and classy with this St John skirt at our Broadway location, 2438 NE Broadway, Portland OR 97232.
