Brand: John Fluevog
Color: Maize, light blue and tan
Wearing Suggestions: You can cause your own zoot suit riot in these incredible John Fluevog oxfords. They’re colorful, fun and toe-tappingly attractive! Wear them with your favorite pant suit, or have some menswear-inspired girl fun with a skirt or leggings. Why are shoes in this style called wingtips? If you want to know more about how wingtips came to be, take a look here! We love that John Fluevog has seen fit to cleverly embed his initials in the toe detailing. cute, right? His initials are also on the back heel tab, subtle but fun. The result is a totally modern, feminine twist on a classic wingtip oxford.
While the colors are vaguely reminiscent of Easter eggs, they have toned-down muted hues that could just as easily go with the fall shades in your wardrobe. The print is an abstracted leafy pattern, broken by the wingtip leather details. Fluevog’s designers could have gone with just one color of leather trim, but then, that wouldn’t be very Fluevog-ian, would it? More is always more in the Fluevog shoe-vog world. In keeping with that inspiration, may we suggest a fun fit & flare floral print dress with these shoes? How about a wide leg palazzo pant? We recommend you be as daring in your clothing accompaniment as John Fluevog was in the design. Mix it up! Play against stereotypes and have some fun tweaking the nose of convention!
